Who is this 'Landi' person?
I spent my first nine years as an only child. When my sister was born, she required quite a bit more care, attention and direction. My parents quickly became so accustomed to calling out her name that when it came time to call me they would slur together the first part of Lexi's name with mine, realizing mid name that they were calling the wrong daughter. And so, shortly after Lexi's arrival, Landi was born. The third sister, she was half Lexi, half and Andi and accompanied by her cat, Bladdie. Bladdie is half Blackie, the Norwegian Forest Cat and half Maddie the tabby.

Déjà Vu: Illustration Friday
"The strongest pathological association of déjà vu is with temporal lobe epilepsy. This correlation has led some researchers to speculate that the experience of déjà vu is possibly a neurological anomaly related to improper electrical discharge in the brain. As most people suffer a mild epileptic episode regularly (e.g. a hypnagogic jerk, the sudden "jolt" that frequently, but not always, occurs just prior to falling asleep), it is conjectured that a similar neurological aberration occurs in the experience of déjà vu, resulting in an erroneous sensation of memory." - Wikipedia
QUESTION: Does anyone actually make money selling stuff on Etsy? If you are a seller on Etsy, please comment. This is a running joke between Andrea and I. One of us will create something and share it with the other and get the reply, "You should put that on Etsy and tell me how it goes." Neither of us have Etsy shops and both of us are dying to know if anyone actually makes money on Etsy and if so, selling what!??

Painting and watching snow fall
Here is the window where I work on my art. I relocated the snowglobe
collection to the low windowsill after Zilla knocked the Charleston
globe off the high sill, spilling it's contents onto the new wireless
printer. The printer is now covered in glitter, but still works.

Waiting for 'De Plane"
This year we booked our flight home from Long Island on Pineapple Air, hoping they would prove more reliable than Bahamas Air. Alas, they were not. We made ourselves as comfy as one can at an airport with goats on the landing strip and waited it out. Apparently, they all run on BST, Bahamas Standard Time.

Long Island Dump
Here I am getting some excercise at the dump. On an island of 3,000,
you get your kicks where you can.

Savour: Illustration Friday
The picniking pangolin savoured the crunch of each and every ant that crossed his blanket that afternoon.
Hooray for pangolins! Native to Asia and Africa, these unique mammals look a little like the child of an artichoke and an armadillo. Last summer we visited the Angkor Center for Conservation of Biodiversity. They had a pangolin rescued from poachers and they're working on starting up a breeding program.
