Phoenix Ghost Town

Since we moved up here I've been dying to ride up to Phoenix, the abandoned mine marked "ghost town" on my trail map. We finally got to go. It was a great ride - very challenging though; seven miles with a 1000 ft summit climb in the middle. Great views at the top! The mine was a little disappointing, but we may go back and investigate later. We took a different route home - pretty much straight down! I had a hard time keeping my bike from sliding. Old Mill in Nederland, CO

It was used to mill silver. "Ned," as we call it, is the closest town to our new house in Rollinsville. The house is coming along well. My parents came out to help work on it for a week. Baby Snowshoe Hares
